    I am looking for information regarding my Great Grandfather John Murphy and his family.

    According to the 1911 Wales Census he was born in Ballinhassig, County Cork about 1843. He married Mary Ann Tobin in Newport, Wales in 1870. The marriage certificate names his father as John. They both have the same occupation a Wharf Labourer. The address given was in an area apparantly used by Irish immigrants near the docks in Newport. A witness was James Murphy, was he a family member and were the whole family living in Wales.

    I would appreciate any information on my Irish roots.
