: I FOUND OUT I,M FROM IRELAND BY DA AND WISH TO KNOW WITH AREA I CAME FROM. ONE THING I KNOW ABOUT MY father is he loved to go fishing and his people were from lousiana area. my father father was a farmer name was melton Amerson. There are no history after this.
I grew up as a Sullivan in South Carolina, USA hearing that we were of the Black Irish decent due to black hair, blue eyes, sometimes black with olive skin tones. I know we came from the lowere part of Ireland and our lines go back to the Kings of Ireland or at least that is what research indicates. I have seen on microfilms in archives in sC that we came via ships to Chatleston port or nearby. Some migratied North, Some South. We have a lot of Sullivan in many states. the ship's record indicate we came from line of farmers, cotton gins and other trades. We brought some slaves with us as well as bond servants. Any input? Thanks
