your comments about the prices etc in ireland today is sad but very true ,i have been going over to ireland too many times to number as i live next door in the isle of man married to a good tipperary woman. we have often spoke over the years about how well ireland was doing since they joined the eu,the country was thriving the people were getting well paid and prices were on the up, so much so that for the last five years we could not go over so often or for so long as the exchange rate made it too expensive altogether and i would say that this year in august was well a great shock to the system eating out was great till you got the bill and as for having a drink(something im quite partial to) was double the price for my favourit tipple jamesons with a baileys both of which we have to import and still at half your price we make a profit even guinness is cheaper. i feel that if your goverment does not tackle the problem soon you will have no visitors anymore just like us.
!
anyway the people are just as grand and my heart goes out to all those suffering over lost jobs etc after all we dont want to see ireland back to what it was in the 50's 60's , and im sure you will agree that as the foreign workers are leaving in their droves its time to stop the rot and for the goverment to help the economy more and save as many jobs as posssible before its to late. keep up up the good work the news letter is great god bless you all davy sayle
