Fully agree with the Childers critique, but why stop short of calling out smart phones which not only carry the Face Book application but many other forms of distraction and are projected to replace personal computers for tens of millions in coming years. People staring into their little screens while physically ignoring others only grows worse, and the technology sectors of mature economies like it this way.
