Let's not forget that this utter disrespect for the Irish vote was voiced by the Fianna Fáil coalition government before any other government said a word. The reaction that I got was that they privately thought, 'The people have spoken, the bastards.' They were quick to reassure the EU that they'd get Lisbon through by some other means, just like France did.
In this whole sorry mess of a budget, Fianna Fáil's proposals are despicable. Even worse are the Greens who've been seduced by the trappings of power; Mercs & Perks.
