So far in my research, I found a great website called couchsurfing .org, which is a cool idea as an alternative to paying for a hotel. They also have a lot of hostels in Ireland and sometimes the colleges rent out dorms for a nominal fee during their summer break. I think a travel company is great if you are looking for general tourist trap kinda things to do, but you can always do some research online as far as attractions. I've been in contact with some people who live in Ireland, and some who have visited. Feel free to email me and I might be able to give you some ideas of what you might want to see and what to stay away from! =)
