Many who read this may say, "well, he's not really Irish, is he?" At the same time ALL of my family is of Irish decent. Mom is a Carey/Kerry, and Dad is a Brannon from Westmeath. It's my opinion, that if we ever populate Mars, there'll be Irish-Martians among them....tracing thier families back to Cork, or whereever....so let's lay that aside, shall we? I see in this magazine that there's a great seperation of opinion, and direction in Irish politics today. And I would remind all of you, that THAT is the very reason we lost our nation these many years ago. I don't expect my words to change anything....I'm Irish, and I know better. However, could we not find someone else to contest....rather than sinn fien (ourselves alone). Why not the industrialists that deaserted us in time of need? Or the British government in the North? It is my opinion that we need to find a direction which unifies us (and sadly, with Irishmen, that usually means someone to fight) If it were me? I'd chose to fight to bring the maximun of employment to Ireland....regardless. Keep control, sure, but bring it. Once here, all petty arguements might seem as trivial as they truly are.....after all, we have an Irish government ruling the nation....not one imposed by a foriegn nation.
