: : I think it will be great if the Irish Gov. is able to encourage speaking Irish......my parents were born in Ireland and came to the US as young adults and I loved, esp.as I grew older and wiser, to hear the words they used and I picked up many of the sayings and I still us them and try to help others to learn them to. I agree with you 100% I also think it would be great if the Irish Gov, were to encourage speaking Irish. I am Irish but live in the states. Just knowing I am makes me feel special in a way that is hard to describe. Learning the Language instills into my heart and soul that i am truly Irish in that I took the time to learn my native language. It is truly a blessed feeling.
For the gov. to allow Irish to be encouraged would mean so much to people in the long run. Not only this but it would say so much about the Irish gov. feelings about their people. Not only would it help their own people, but would encourage others, myself for one, to learn and carry on this beautiful language.
Thank you for the opportunity to respond on a subject that I love. Sincerly, Patra
